Artistic street style shoot

While looking for the right spot, I spent the afternoon with Kelly Saabel, who started in a striking all-black high-style outfit, shiny latex leggings, a matte black top, a skater skirt, paired with a cropped bomber jacket and gloves. The mix of textures worked perfectly for an urban shoot, and when we stumbled across this staircase by the water, I knew we’d found the perfect setup to play with lines, shadows, and angles.

Kelly made the most of every step and railing, turning the location into her stage. Her playful, spontaneous energy drew plenty of curious glances from passersby, some of whom even paused to watch what must have looked like a mini street performance. It was fun to see how naturally she brought a bit of drama and movement to the scene, giving the photos a lively edge that balanced out the clean, graphic structure of the stairway.

This session reminded me how much a simple urban detail can transform when the styling and mood align. Kelly’s bold outfit and attitude made the staircase more than just a backdrop; it became part of the story. We caught the last soft light of the day, adding just enough glow to highlight the glossy-matte contrasts, and finished with a set that feels fresh, modern, and a little rebellious.
