Latex Lifestyle
Subway station as stage
For this shoot, I brought Evie Fayé into the stark, industrial space of an empty subway station and transformed it into her stage. Wrapped in a custom latex catsuit and corset, she moved with the grace and strength of a classical ballerina, but with a futuristic edge that made each pose feel like a quiet rebellion against the mundane backdrop. The contrast between the cold concrete and the gleaming latex gave every frame a tension I wanted to capture, delicate pointe work meeting urban grit.
I directed Evie to use the architectural elements as her partners; pillars became her barre, the vast open floor her stage. The symmetrical patterns on her suit echoed the geometric lines above, pulling the whole space into her dance. Each shot froze a fleeting moment of balance and control, highlighting how latex and ballet together create a striking visual language that’s both soft and unyielding.
This series celebrates Evie’s poise and presence in an unexpected setting. Her expression stayed focused yet calm, embodying a dancer who claims any space as her own. Shooting this felt like watching a private performance unfold under harsh fluorescent lights, grace finding its place where no one expects it.
