Black & shiny in the underground

Sophia Levine stepped into this shoot in a look that felt dark, polished, and completely self-possessed. Catsuit, collar, platform boots, and a tightly laced corset came together in the underground garage to create a mood that was both severe and elegant. For me, that combination had exactly the right tension, because it turned a cool, functional setting into something striking and intensely stylized.

What made the shoot especially strong was how the silhouette remained clean and commanding despite the heaviness of the styling. The corset pulled everything into an even sharper line, while the collar and the boots gave the look its harder edge without overwhelming it. That balance is what made Sophia stand out so naturally, because she carried the outfit with calm confidence rather than force.

There was also something very satisfying about taking this session below ground and away from the summer heat. The underground garage gave us a cooler, more controlled atmosphere, and that suited the glossy black styling perfectly. Instead of fighting the season, the shoot felt like an escape into shadow, structure, and shine.
